My husband walked in from work one summer day, he didn't even have time to think before I started with my idea!

I’d been scouring the internet on what it takes to start a yarn shop earlier that day. I shot the idea his way as soon as he was through the door. You can bet how he answered… you guessed it. “Oh boy.” However, he thought it was a good idea and a “small” endeavor to learn how to begin in business. We found out not long after that Google's idea of start-up costs was a little outdated. Either way, we opened Unraveled on April 10th of 2020. Our girls, 4 & 2 at the time, were our little helpers, and our family business began. Those early days were full of “whoopsies” and “ohs,” but we’re always learning here at Unraveled and trying to give you the best options possible. Our goal in opening Unraveled was to establish a much-needed yarn community, and we’ve been excited to create just that in these last three years. We started with three measly acrylic yarn shelves, and now we’re proud to offer yarn from both the acrylic & fiber worlds. Plus, we’ve quadrupled our shelving since then. And doubled our kids 🤔😂

We offer a variety of hand-dyed yarns, affordable fibers, acrylic yarns, tools, and various fun notions. We also offer beginner classes, some intermediate classes, and pattern help.
